A small gallery inside the Old City walls showing local painting and applied art.
Kiçik QalArt is a small gallery within İçərişəhər showing work by Azerbaijani painters and craftspeople.
Its value is largely locational: it sits inside the Old City walls, so it costs nothing to look in while walking between the Maiden Tower and the Palace of the Shirvanshahs.
The work shown leans toward painting and applied art with local subject matter, and much of it is for sale. It is a commercial space rather than a curated institution.
This is a twenty-minute stop rather than an afternoon, and it fits naturally into an Old City walking route alongside the Museum of Miniature Books and the caravanserais.
A few small commercial spaces, including Kiçik QalArt. They are short stops rather than destinations, and they combine easily with the Maiden Tower, the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and the free Museum of Miniature Books.
